What's actually in the packaging

Wedderspoon's honey jars and Apple Cider Vinegar bottles are made from PETE, Polyethylene Terephthalate, marked with recycling symbol 1 on the base. It's one of the most widely recycled plastics, used because it's clear, strong, and food-safe. The Manuka Honey Snap Packs use a similar plastic in their individual sachets, and the Manuka Honey Drops come in a cardboard box with each drop individually wrapped in plastic.

Why PETE specifically

PETE is one of the most commonly accepted plastics in kerbside recycling programmes, so most people can recycle a rinsed-out jar or bottle straightforwardly through their usual household collection.
